The 30 locally sponsored two-year community colleges offer programs that are directly and immediately job related as well as degree programs that serve as educational experience or a transfer opportunity to a baccalaureate degree at a four-year campus.

The member Board of Trustees of Erie Community College is comprised of four members appointed by the Governor, five members appointed by the Erie County Executive and approved by the Erie County Legislature and a voting student trustee elected by the student body of the three campuses.
