Just then another DiMera henchmen arrived at the safe house. Daniel managed to knock him out, but knew that he needed to get the man out of the house. So, Daniel drove the henchmen in the henchmen's car to a train station and left him there. Then, he took the train back to Salem where Nicole was to meet him with the proof. She was supposed to keep drugging Chyka until he gave her the proof.

However, when he arrived, Nicole told him that Chyka had overpowered her and escaped before she could get the proof. Daniel reassured Nicole that they had done everything they could. He turned his attention back toward Jennifer. When an embarrassing fake photo of Jennifer circulated around the hospital and unflattering comments about her flooded the hospital message board, Daniel and Jennifer assumed that it was Theresa.
